The EuroGEO Secretariat aims to provide market development support services for entities engaged in the development of Earth Observation-based products and services:

Community expansion facilitation

EuroGEO Secretariat aims to support the expansion and integration in EuroGEO of new users and entities through already tested user uptake approaches. EuroGEO Secretariat goal is to develop joint action plans with champion stakeholder communities that complement the current Community of Practice and that can benefit from market knowledge.

Training and Capacity Building Programs

To remain completitive and attract new communities of users, EuroGEO develops and delivers training programs on market opportunities, marketing principle to enhance the sustainability and exploitation of products/services/solutions; on licensing and intellectual property; workshops on community building and management, as well as on uptae techniques to facilitate the passage to EO customers.

Integration of ad hoc market development communication

To support the EuroGEO expansion and consolidation of the Community of Practice, EuroGEO Secretariat aims to develop different communication messages to navigate the EO industry and policy landscape for groups of interest, policy makers, entrepreneurs, researchers and industry professionals.

This work is currently being carried out in WP3—Maximising Research and Innovation Impacts of the EuroGEOSec project, where the relevant methodologies are being developed and tested through a series of case studies. Ultimately, EuroGEO aims to support practitioners in improving the market readiness of EO R&I and ensuring its fitness for purpose in relation to user needs.
